Die Aufgabe des Projekts war die Neuetwicklung der Dancing Wall
für Vitra. Die Dancing Wall, designt von Stephan Hürlemann, ist in
ihrer Grundfunktion eine mobile Trennwand, mit der sich Räume in
flexible Zonen gliedern lassen und die gleichzeitig vertikale Arbeits-
flächen bereitstellt. Sie besteht aus einem Metallrahmen, der in
vielfältigen Konfigurationen bestückt werden kann: als Bücherregal,
TV-Wagen, Garderobe oder Pflanzenwand oder als Raumtrenner mit
abnehmbaren Whiteboards und Pinnwänden. Auch die Integration
von Stromkabeln oder funktionalen Accessoires ist vorgesehen und
kann bei Bedarf individuell ausdefiniert werden.
Dancing Wall
The task of the project was to redevelop Dancing Wall for vitra.
The basic function of Dancing Wall, designed by Stephan Hürlemann,
is that of a mobile partition that can be used to flexibly divide offices
into zones, while providing vertical work space. It consists of a
metal frame, which can be equipped in various configurations: as a
bookshelf, TV unit, cloakroom, plant wall, or as a room divider with
removable whiteboards and pinboards. The design also allows for
the integration of power cables and functional accessories, which
can be custom specified to suit the company‘s needs.
